Brian A. Higgins
Within the past fifteen years, Brian Higgins' paintings have been juried into nearly one-hundred major national shows and thirteen museum exhibitions in thirty-two states. His work has received numerous prestigious awards, including five museum purchases, and has been featured in several shows ~ two of which took place in New York City. Brian’s pastels can be found in public and private collections in eighteen states and the United Kingdom. Since 2008, his paintings have been acquired by the Government Center in Kentucky, the International Museum of Art in El Paso, Texas and the renowned Merriam Webster Library in West Brookfield, Massachusetts.
Higgins, who studied at Emerson College and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, also attended the Motion Picture School in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. Painting primarily with pastels for more than twenty-five years, he is proud to be listed in both "Who's Who in American Art" and "Who's Who in America." Brian's work has been reviewed in several major Sunday newspapers and "featured artist" sections.
